Cold Brew Blend

Our signature cold brew blend is built on a rich, chocolatey Guatemalan Huehuetenango, with just a touch of Ethiopian Guji for added plum and blackberry depth. Familiar but never boring, it delivers the smooth body and sweetness you want in cold brew, with layers of complexity that shine straight over ice or hold up beautifully to a heavy splash of oat milk.

We use our coarsest grind setting and steep for 16 hours in a sealed filter using the Alto Cold Brew system. You can also use a Toddy, French press, or Aeropress setup for similar results. Dose your brew vessel with 1 part coffee to 8 parts water (by weight) using room-temperature water. After brewing, strain the grounds or remove the brew bag and refrigerate. When stored properly, your cold brew should stay fresh and tasty for 5–7 days. Remember the resulting beverage arrives in a concentrated form (~3.5% TDS) — for most folks, we recommend diluting it about 1:1 (equal parts concentrate and water) when drinking it straight over ice. At events we like to serve at a 2.2% TDS. For most of us, who don’t have a refractometer at home, take a small portion of your batch and experiment with dilutions in a measuring cup until you find the ratio you love. 1:1 is a great starting point. If you intend to use your cold brew for mixing into cold brew lattes or other drinks, consider using the concentrate without diluting.
