Coffee Break | Events Lead (Seasonal Part-Time Employee)
Location: Huntsville, AL (Big Cove area & local markets)
Schedule: Thursday (7am - Noon, 2pm - 7pm), Saturday (7.30am - 12.30pm)
Season: May - September
Pay: $15 per hour

Coffee Break is a specialty coffee roaster located in Huntsville. We’re focused on elevating local coffee craft, providing coffee education, and supporting activities that help people connect with this beautiful place we call home. Whether it’s a weekday ritual or a Saturday morning market run, our goal is to make extraordinary coffee more accessible, more intentional, and more community-driven.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the friendly, reliable face of Coffee Break at local farmers markets and community events. We’ve already booked the markets — your job is to show up ready, represent the brand well, and make every interaction count.
- Market Setup & Teardown: Follow our detailed event checklist to unload, assemble, and pack up booth equipment and signage.
- Customer Engagement: Greet visitors, offer samples, answer questions, build relationships with the brand, and tell the Coffee Break story with enthusiasm.
- Sales & POS: Ring up orders, handle cash and mobile payments, and track daily sales.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels throughout the day; repack and restock as needed.
- Brand Representation: Keep the booth clean and inviting, maintain product displays, build awesome relationships, and ensure consistency with Coffee Break standards.
Who You Are
- People‑Person: Friendly, outgoing, and confident talking to strangers.
- Reliable & Punctual: You show up on time (Thursdays & Saturdays) and follow through on commitments.
- Physically Capable: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for several hours, and work outdoors.
- Organized: Comfortable following checklists and handling multiple tasks under a busy market atmosphere.
- Coffee Curious: we’re looking for somebody with a passion for craft coffee, but industry experience is not required.
Compensation & Perks
- Part‑Time Hours: Steady Thursday & Saturday shifts.
